Wind is the reason umbrella bases exist.
This one weighs 27 kg. That is the sort of weight that keeps a market umbrella standing when a gust comes across the yard. The shell is plastic filled with concrete. A powder coated steel tube runs up the centre and two stainless steel screws clamp the pole in place.
Moving it is the other half of the job. Two plastic wheels are fitted to one side on stainless steel pins. Lean the base over and it rolls, so the umbrella can follow the sun or go back against the wall at the end of the day. Plastic adaptors are supplied for poles between 38 and 48mm.
