Covering the barbecue once it cools is the cheapest maintenance there is.
This one is cut for the Rogue 525 series gas grill. Buckled straps adjust to hold it against the barbecue, and hanging loops give you somewhere to put it while you cook.
The fabric is water-resistant and made not to crack. UV inhibitors give it fade resistance under a hard summer sun. The vent in the cover lets air circulate, which prevents mildew underneath and helps in gusty weather.
Worth putting on after every cook rather than only over winter.
